On November 28, Michigans US Senator Carl Levin came to Saginaw and had an informal visit with Saginaw Democrats.

Blaine Gains Club Support Again
Marv Hare, Mike Thomas, Charlie Brown add SADC Endorsements

At the SADC Executive Board Meeting of Wednesday, April 9th several more state and local Democrats- who have officially filed for office-gained the support of the Saginaw Area Democratic Club through the endorsement of the Board.

Bob Blaine, who is fighting a rematch with Republican Ken Horn in the state's 94th district, will again have the support of the SADC in 2008. Also endorsed were longtime County Treasurer Marv Hare, Sheriff Charles Brown, and Prosecutor Michael Thomas. The Club expects to have more biographical information posted on these incumbent candidates soon.

Garnet Lewis, 98th State House, along with incumbents Andy Coulouris, 95th State House, and Cheryl Hadsall, Chair of the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners have been previously endorsed. No other candidates have been voted upon by the SADC Board at the time of this news item.
