Eddie Foxx previously served as County Commissioner for 10 years (2000-2010). He has also been a Bridgeport Township Trustee (4 years), Bridgeport Planning Commissioner (10 years)- including 4 years as Chairman, and President of the Southfield Village Improvement Association (21 years).
His civic involvement includes service with:
Community Action Committee (CAC), Saginaw County Public Health Board, Saginaw County Substance Abuse Treatment and Prevention Services, Michigan State Extension Council, Courts & Public Safety Committee, 911 Authority, Michigan Works: Job Training Consortium Committee, Bridge Center for Racial Harmony, Bridgeport Liberty Park Improvement Committee, Bridgeport Library Expansion Committee, Bridgeport Community Improvement Task Force, Southfield Village Improvement Association, Zion Baptist Church - Deacon Board and Usher Board, Buena Vista First Robotic Lego League, and the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity.
He earned a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Technology from North Carolina A & T in Greensboro (1971). He was a 1967 graduate of Chatham High School in Siler City, N.C.

I believe our residents have a right to a high quality of life in all of our communities. I have worked for these goals in the past. I come before you with years of proven leadership and experience in our community and in local and county governments. I am asking for your support in this election so that I can work for the betterment of the citizens of the 6th District and Saginaw County."
"I have been a Saginaw County resident about 30 years. I am employed with Delphi Automotive as a Sr. Engineer. My wife and I have been married for 33 years and raised our three children in Saginaw County. I have been and I still am active in community issues throughout the 6th District."
"My community involvement is a trait I believe I got from my Grandmother, who was active and involved in her community for most of her 99 years of life. I know how important it is to get involved for the improvement and well being of the communities in which we live."
