Background
Judge Janet M. Boes is a 1983 cum laude graduate of the University of Toledo College of Law. Judge Boes then served as a law clerk for United States District Judge R. As an assistant prosecuting attorney for almost 20 years, Judge Boes tried felony, misdemeanor and juvenile cases in Saginaw County courts and also handled many appeals – appearing before the Michigan Supreme Court and the Michigan Court of Appeals.

In 2008, Governor Jennifer Granholm appointed Janet as judge for the State of Michigan Tenth Judicial Circuit – Saginaw County. Judge Boes will be on the ballot for the first time in 2010.

Judge Boes has served on the Board of Directors for a number of organizations in the community, including the Child Abuse and Neglect Council and the Underground Railroad.
