Activities: Vice Chair, Urban Policy Committee. Member, Human Services Committee. Responsible for two way constituent communications program, voting on budgets and other statutes, constituent casework, working with stakeholders in Saginaw to create a variety of opportunities. Founding member and charter Co-Chair of House Bipartisan Urban Caucus.

Activities: Policy maker. Voting on budget and ordinances. Served as Chair of the Housing Task Force, and as a member of more than a dozen committees, commissions, and non-profit boards which dealt with environmental, planning, human services and housing issues. Mayor Pro Tempore, 1991-1993.
